OVERVIEW

S&B are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our company, the Receptionist will play a key role in creating a positive impression on clients, visitors, and staff.This role requires excellent communication skills, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. An ideal candidate will reside within 10-15 miles of the Memorial office.

EDUCATION:

 

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Excellent telephone and people skills. Pleasant manner and appearance.  Some knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front Desk Management: Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Phone Handling: Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Visitor Management: Utilize SPLAN and Teams, issue visitor badges, and ensure visitors are directed to the appropriate staff or department.
  • Clerical Support: Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Customer Service: Provide information and answer inquiries from clients, employees, and the public, either in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager or other team members.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly to clients or other employees of the organization. Ability to receive verbal instructions and execute as needed.  Job success often hinges upon interpersonal communication and relationship development skills, and job tasks require frequent interchange and successful completion depends in large part upon effective interaction and communication with others.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 

Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Occasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site.  This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.  Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise.  Occasionally may visit an operating plant or construction site.  This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.
