The Senior Oracle Applications Developer is primarily responsible for designing and implementing new ERP-related applications, as well as supporting and enhancing existing solutions using Oracle Developer, PL/SQL, BI Publisher, and other MIS development tools. This role also involves working closely with business analysts, IT teams, consultants, and Oracle Support to diagnose and resolve production issues within the Oracle ERP system. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical thinking, effective troubleshooting abilities, and expertise in programming and unit testing. Additionally, exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential—particularly in documenting technical designs and methodologies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May provide technical guidance for up to 5 less experienced Analysts Programmers. May supervise user training efforts for up to 10 users.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the areas outlined above, who is also willing to learn and maintain a legacy codebase developed over the past two decades. While some components of this code are highly sophisticated and complex, the majority are tailored to meet the unique requirements of individual projects or clients. Although the technology may not be cutting-edge, it remains vital to the company’s continued success. Internal stakeholders include Accounting, Payroll, Project Controls, the Controller, the CFO, and executive leadership with specialized data needs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical systems design and application system documentation. Ability to present technical presentations in writing and verbally to managers and other key personnel. Presentation skills include basic knowledge of the use of PowerPoint, one-gun projectors, meeting facilitation skills, Visio and Excel charts and other basic graphical presentation tools.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical skills, algebraic equations and trigonometric functions required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally, will conduct or participate in a field trip to operating plants, construction sites or other office complexes. This requires the ability to stand, walk, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
