OVERVIEW

Monitors and is responsible for all aspects of the assigned product lines including support and new projects.   Acts as a liaison between the Business and Information Technology (IT).  Interfaces and builds strong interpersonal relationships with external stakeholders and end users, project management, solution architects, other product owners, analysts, developers and IT leadership. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

May provide supervision for up to 3 analysts.

 

EDUCATION

 

Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, analyze, organize and coordinate multiple work activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team setting
  • Logical thinking and good problem-solving skills
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering, procurement and construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel); working knowledge of software development.
  • Preferred experience in the industry for the specified product line.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Communicating and aligning with stakeholders across the board to ensure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
  • Learning the market and stakeholder needs and deriving product strategies to meet the needs of the stakeholders.
  • Exploring new technology opportunities and other new trends to support the needs of specific product line.
  • Proactively identify key areas of improvement by developing effective and unique ideas to improve the system and resolve issues.
  • Prioritize needs and support for the product line, and owns the product roadmap.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Collaboratively develops roadmap for the product.
  • Accountable for the created product(s) and communicating the product needs with business partners.
  • Works closely with the Solution Architect, Project Manager, Analyst, Technical Lead and Developers.
  • Serving as the liaison between stakeholders and development team.
  • Supervise analysts assigned to their product line.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical systems documentation.  Job success often hinges upon interpersonal communication and relationship development skills, and job tasks require frequent interchange and successful completion depends in large part upon effective interaction and communication with others.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 

Basic mathematical and algebraic equations required.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Occasionally, will conduct or participate in a field trip to operating plants, construction sites or other office complexes.  This requires the ability to stand, walk, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally, may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at an construction site. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, work near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.
