SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Supervises corporate accounting staff

 

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field is required. Master’s preferred.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree with 7-9 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field, including a minimum of 2 years in management.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • Public accounting firm and/or private equity firm experience a plus.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
  • Oracle and/or OneStream experience a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong change agent with proven ability to streamline, add efficiencies, and implement new processes and technologies.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Completes review of prepared balance sheet/partners’ capital account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Collaborates with other areas, including but not limited to, Project Accounting, Project Controls, Treasury, and FP&A to promote cross-functional success.
  • Manages the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Supervises the team to ensure deadlines for accounting close are met and needed reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reviews and assists with preparation of financial statements and related reports, including but not limited to, balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Understands and communicates effectively goals and initiatives to meet department objectives.
  • Analyzes financial performance against trends.
  • Mentors and develops accounting staff.
  • Leads special projects, financial audits, and initiatives as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, client contracts, subcontracts, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and managers.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 

Proficient in the use of standard business financial mathematical functions with the aid of a PC spreadsheet package or calculator.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance. Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. Require close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Occasionally, may conduct or participate in a field trip to existing or new plants. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and airborne particles.
